Create Fabulous Containers
Follow a few of Arlene simple guidelines and really make your containers pop.
1. Keep things in proportion – consider the dimensions of your pot when selecting materials
2. Fill the container with soil and mix in some Osmocote
3. Start with the tallest focal point of the display and work down to the smallest elements at the front or base of the container
4. Finish your container off with moss, bark or mulch. This maintains the moisture and holds down the soil. Which means when you water the container the soil won’t lift up and go everywhere.
Don’t forget the non planty part of creating fabulous containers! Structural elements like birdhouses add fun and a charming element to an arrangement.
