Plants & Flowers

Deep cold. Thick ice. A snowstorm to remember. January brings it all. The garden may be covered in snow - which is a good thing. Snow may herald disgust and dismay, but it sure lays down good minerals for the soil. It also creates a blanket - like effect on the garden. Snow insulates the roots of plants and keeps them from drying out. A little bit of snow may be an inconvenience, but it's definitely good for the landscape.
