Gourmet Stock Clerk
Sickles Market wants to ensure that all of our customers are receiving the best shopping experience each time they walk into our store. The Gourmet & Dairy Clerk is an integral part of the Sickles Market experience. As a Gourmet & Dairy Clerk, you work on the sales floor to proactively engage customers and create opportunities to upsell and cross sell Sickles products. The following are role and responsibilities of the Gourmet & Dairy Clerk position:
 
Department Responsibilities
·         Responsible for providing excellent customer service while demonstrating a passion for food.
·         Demonstrate product knowledge of gourmet, dairy, and beverage preparation to customers
·         Package, weigh, price and label items for retail sale
·         Answer customers' questions about merchandise and provide recommendation to customers on merchandise selection
·         Receive loads while keeping an eye out for freshness and conditions of products
·         Ensure product availability, quality and freshness by proper rotation, stocking and replenishing of products on shelves
·         Help maintain accurate department signage and pricing
·         Operate relevant equipment such as ladders, pallet jacks and scales in a safe and productive manner
·         Stock shelves, racks, cases, bins, and tables with new or transferred merchandise

Garden Center Sales Clerk
The Garden Center Sales Clerk is asked to smile, greet and be courteous to customers. It is also expected that the clerk works with management and all other Team Members to provide a high level of customer service and be a positive influence in the customer experience. In this role it is important to be punctual, work your schedule, conduct yourself in a professional business manner at all times, assist in any way possible and as directed, provide for a clean and safe store environment,  and help fulfill other duties as assigned. In addition, the Team Member will help deliver information regarding sales, store promotions, events, and more. The following are role and responsibilities of the Garden Center Clerk position:
 
Department Responsibilities
·         Greet all customers and provide them with prompt and highly friendly, courteous service or assistance.
·         Confer with customers by telephone or in person to provide information about products or services, take or enter orders, cancel orders if needed, or obtain details of complaints.
·         Check to ensure that appropriate changes were made to resolve customers' problems.
·         Stay current and have product knowledge of plants, flowers, services, soils, pots, and more.
·         Keep records of customer interactions or transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, or comments, as well as actions taken.
·         Assist in receiving and unloading of merchandise.  Check and verify receiving to ensure that items listed on vendor invoices are all delivered.  Check products for quality, count, and condition.
