JOB POSTINGS

Dishwasher (FT)
Wash and clean tableware, pots, pans and cooking equipment. Also, the Dishwasher will be asked to keep the dishes and equipment clean and organized. He/she may at times assist in the preparation of meals by chopping vegetables, making salads, and putting together entrees. Such skills include proficiently being able to utilize a wide range of kitchen tools including proper knife handling. General Responsibilities: Load, run and unload dish machine. Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately. Ensures that food is properly stored. Performing kitchen maintenance; emptying the trash, mopping floors and washing dishes. Flexible schedule. Applicant must be able to stand for extended periods of time, lift (up to 50 lbs. occasionally) and bend.
 
Deli Barback- (FT/PT)

Responsible for packing out soups, dressing, salads, making sure all items in the cases are full, putting deliveries away, removing garbage from deli line and keeping area clean and sanitary in accordance with established procedures. Reports directly to Deli/Asst. Deli Manager. Applicant must be able to lift 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time.  Weekends necessary.

Cashier Clerk (FT/PT)
A Cashier is asked to quickly and efficiently bag customers' groceries, box plant items, and at times may have to wrap certain items. Accuracy is extremely important as a Cashier is responsible to check-out customer purchases quickly, using correct prices and codes. Retail experience a plus! This includes the ability to lift 25 or more pounds occasionally and standing for extended periods of time. After school and weekends a must. 
 
Gift Baskets Clerk (FT)
The Gift Baskets Clerk position is an integral part of the company due to the volume of sales and foot traffic of the department on a yearly basis. Gifts Baskets Clerk is required to greet, interact and help customers with their retail needs. The new hire will be asked to help with various store needs with an enthusiastic, positive attitude. This Team Member also fulfills daily retail requirements such as restocking, making baskets to sell, fulfilling gift basket orders, etc. Additional duties include the creation of exceptional gifts baskets to Sickles’ standards, using retail merchandise, breads, pastries, etc. provided by the store. The position will also require an individual who can step into a leadership role and mentor other Team Members. A strong emphasis will be placed on training and educating Team Members, customers, handle the monthly inventory, and order supplies needed. Familiarize self with different cheeses, breads, pastries, bakery items, produce, gift & housewares and all other products in the store and recognize differences among similar products e.g. type, region, production and pairing information to better assist customers. Availability to work weekends, holidays, and other prime times of the business. Frequent motions such as standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, bending, lifting, and reaching, lifting up to 25lbs. standing and walking for 4-6 hours at a time.
 
Production Baker (FT)

As a Production Bakery Clerk you will be providing exceptional customer service while preparing and serving a wide variety of bakery products. The following are role and responsibilities of the Production Bakery Clerk position: Mix and bake ingredients according to recipes to produce breads, pastries and other baked goods. Measure flour, sugar, and other ingredients to prepare batters, dough and fillings. Using scale and graduated containers, dump ingredients into mixing-machine bowl or steam kettle to mix or cook ingredients according to specifications, roll, cut, and shape dough to form sweet rolls, tarts, cookies and related products preparatory to baking. Observe color of products being baked and turns thermostat or other controls to adjust oven temperature. Apply glaze or other toppings to baked goods, using spatula or brush.  May specialize in baking one type of product, such as breads, rolls, tarts, or cakes. Develop new recipes for cakes and other baking goods for management approval.  Demonstrate the ability to be organized, to work independently and with the team to provide the highest quality shopping experience, while maintaining product assortment to drive sales. Receive loads and products while keeping an eye out for freshness and superior quality. Arrange cakes, pies, muffins, rolls and other baked goods. Apply ingredient tags and price tags to products.  Offer daily feedback to the Bakery Department Manager and Store Management about the Bakery Department, successes and areas of opportunity.  Lifting up to 30lbs. and pushing and pulling carts up to 100lbs. Standing and walking for 4-6 hours at a time. Availability to work weekends, holidays, and other prime times of the business.
 
Customer Service Manager (FT)

As a Customer Service Manager, your passion for assisting others and solving customer issues will help the smoother operations inside the store. The following are roles and responsibilities of the Customer Service Manager position: Develop and implement customer service policies and procedures that support company-wide strategic goals. Oversee all code greens and code reds documentation including recording and tracking resolutions. Ensure that customers and teams are appropriately educated about products and services working with Marketing, Demo, and other departments as necessary. Create positive customer relationships by proactively managing customer interactions using tact, courtesy, patience and diplomacy. Perform tasks essential to daily operations such as scheduling, staffing, and continuous training and development on Sickles Market Customer Service procedures. Quickly and efficiently bag customers' groceries at a rate that meets store requirements. Check-out customer purchases quickly and accurately, using correct prices and codes. Gather and summarize critical customer feedback to Management. Lead by example and perform all tasks expected of team members such as answering customer inquiries, processing returns, resolving problems. Assign and delegate tasks, ensure daily operations are fully executed, and manage productivity of team members. Standing and walking for 4-6 hours at a time. Availability to work weekends, holidays, and other prime times of the business.
 
Butcher Clerk (FT)

As a Butcher Counter Clerk, you will work on the sales floor and behind the counter to proactively engage customers and create opportunities to upsell and cross sell additional products. The following are role and responsibilities of the Butcher Clerk position: working knowledge of food quality, hygiene and sanitation. Strong Customer Service skills and ability to interact with other people.  Package, wrap, weigh, stamp, mark and accurately price and label merchandise for retail sale.  Proactively engage customers, promote product and sales, build customer relationships, and provide outstanding customer service that encourages customer loyalty and adds value to the Sickles brand.  Operate relevant equipment in a safe and productive manner.  Standing and walking for extended periods of time required and lifting up to 50 lbs. and pushing/pulling a cart up to 100 lbs. required. Flexible schedule. 
 
Butcher Assistant Manager (FT)

As an Assistant Butcher Department Manager you will be providing exceptional customer service while supplying and replenishing a wide variety of butcher products. In addition, the Assistant Butcher Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and merchandising for the Butcher Department. Seeks to continuously improve service and product quality. Manager(s) coordinates closely with personnel to obtain information, identify needs, and investigate and resolve problems. Ensures that deadlines are met and costs are controlled. Ensures that the Company's professional reputation is maintained and that superior customer service is provided. The following are some of the responsibilities of the Asst. Butcher Department Manager position: Perform tasks essential to daily operations such as ordering and inventory. Maintain the overall appearance of the department to ensure products levels are sustained throughout the day and food is presented in eye-appealing ways to showcase quality and increase scales. Assign and delegate tasks, ensure daily production and operations are fully executed, and manage productivity of team members to maximize profitability and minimize shrink. Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards mandated by state, federal and OSHA regulations. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. and push and pull carts up to 100lbs. Standing and walking for 6-8 hours at a time. Availability to work weekends, holidays, and other prime times of the business.

Produce Clerk (FT/PT)
As a Produce Clerk, you work on the sales floor to proactively engage customers. Responsibilities are, but not limited to, putting away and rotating product, providing customer service, set up/replenishing displays, and cleaning. Applicant must be able to lift 50 lbs. Flexible schedule.
 
Stock Clerk (FT/PT)
In search of a Team Member to help stock product. Retail experience a plus! Responsibilities are, but not limited to, putting away and rotating product, set up/replenishing displays, and cleaning. Package, weigh, price and label items for retail sale. Help maintain accurate department signage and pricing. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time. 

Cook (FT)
As a Production Cook you will use your culinary talents and work with a team to ensure the prepared foods are up to standards our customers have come to expect.  You will assist the Deli Manager, Executive Chef and Sous Chef in setting the culinary standard for the store.  Complete daily food production requirements, sort and put away deliveries, comply with essential food handling procedures, follow recipes and cooking techniques so food is produced with a consistent outcome.  Minimum 2 years solid line &/or cook experience required.  Weekends a must, schedule should be flexible; able to work fill in when necessary.  Must be capable to lift up to 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time.

Deli Clerk (FT/PT)
Responsibilities are, but not limited to, customer service, taking food/catering orders, sandwich making, daily food set up/presentation, packing prepared foods, slicing of cold cuts, putting deliveries away, portioning of soups and salad dressing, cleaning and sanitation. Must be friendly, dependable, self-motivated and a great team player. Able to lift 40 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time. Weekends a must. Experience helpful.
